Hello all!!
Christmas is finally over and I'm making plans to take down all of the decorations. I don't like to let them linger.
The kids got spoiled, like we do every year. They mostly get what they ask for at Christmas because we don't spoil them through the year.
Christmas dinner was hampered by the fact that the turkey (despite numerous fill ups of water) burned to the bottom of the pan slightly so Hubby had to make the gravy from scratch.
It's nice to have control of it all though. How it was cooked, what I added for spices etc.
Other than that it's been a very quiet Christmas! The kids (including my big kid) got new video games and I heard nothing all day. It was lovely!!!! I got some reading done!!!
Then yesterday my computer died, so I'm now the proud owner of a new one...thanks in no small part to Best Buy's Boxing Day sales!!!
I also got the new Wii game "Just Dance" just have to say BEST FUN EVER!!!!
Then it was time to face the music!! I actually had my WW regular meeting tonight. I have to say the numbers were down...from a normal average of about 30 to 11!!! However, there were some die hard's like us that want to stay accountable.
I WAS DOWN 3.2!!!!!!!!!
That is all for now...will update with my plan for the new year later

What I want for Christmas!
Okay so the pressies are wrapped and the stocking stuffers are waiting to be stuffed and all is well!!!
But what do I really want for Christmas?? My perpetual answer to my hubby is a treadmill and his perpetual answer is no until we get a bigger house. (we live in a mini home and a treadmill is just too big for our small space)
I know what I'm getting for Christmas. I am too old for surprises, so hubby and I shop together and we know what each other is getting. It makes it easier to just condense it into one trip!
So, this year I think I want my determination back. I know I had it. So I want it back now. We have a lady in our meeting who consistently loses one pound a week and is upset by it.
I just looked at her...I was stunned. I told her flat out that she shouldn't be upset about losing ONLY (I hate that word) one pound a week. If I lost one pound a week I'd be half way to my goal in one year!!!
So that's what I want for Christmas this year. The determination to get the weight off one pound a week until I get to goal!!!!

Feeling a little less cranky...

I apologize for my earlier post, I don't normally have those kinds of days!!!
Today was WI and I was up but that is most definitely a combination of sickness, medication (which I take reluctantly) and a period that I haven't had in years *grrr to new bc meds*
Thank you all for reading my blogs, I can't tell you what it means to me to get the feedback I get!!!!
Christmas Week....

Today would not be the day for me to volunteer to cheer anybody up!!!
I woke up this morning with a sinus cold and headache and I feel MISERABLE!!!
Top that off with my impending choir practice tomorrow night and 2 hour singfest at Church on Thursday night....and then insert NO GD VOICE here...
I woke up this morning sounding almost like James Earl Jones my voice is that deep and scratchy....GRRRRR
Can someone beat me with some Christmas spirit before I just chuck it all and go back to bed until Boxing Day!!!!

Holy Christmas Batman!!!
My to do list has gotten out of control...
Things to do:
1. Start feeding my son coffee to keep him from growing. Last year's winter coat...has gotten very small...needs a new one...
2. Must teach daughter that clothes do not bring themselves to the laundry room.
3. Must learn to breathe when son tells me his 'girlfriend' bought him a very thoughtful present. (he's only 13)
4. Must learn that I will NOT be a slave to this holiday taking me over. I will take my time and think about what I'm doing before I do it. Otherwise I'm going to end ass up in a box of chocolates.
5. I need to keep my sense of humor around me while I cook food that my hubby's family probably won't eat *LOL* I don't cook to please everyone.
I am not sure how often I'll get here over the next week, but I promise to check in...
and to those of you who watched the video...just let me say that my baby is brillant and I can only hope to be half as good on Christmas Eve during mass when I am singing (in my concert, she tells it)
